Anne-Marie Rynne
Instrument: Fiddle
Born and raised in Ennistymon, County Clare, Anne-Marie Rynne carries a deep lineage of traditional Irish fiddle playing. Steeped in the rich musical traditions of the Wild Atlantic Way from the age of six, she plays a historical family instrument passed down through generations—a century-old fiddle originally acquired by her family in the 1910s.
Mentored by legendary Clare fiddlers including Joan Hanrahan and Siobhan Peoples, Anne-Marie’s playing is defined by its lift, sweet tone, and strong drive. A seasoned performer and regular session leader across Doolin and Lisdoonvarna, her lively performances bring warmth, community spirit, and classic Clare style directly to the stage.
Kaspar Laval
Instruments: Bouzouki
Kaspar is a classically trained guitarist with over 30 years of experience, having made his musical journey from an early influence of the New Wave era to a deep immersion in Irish and Asturian music. He has focused on the bouzouki and developed a unique style, ranging from intricate counter-melodies to heavy, rock-solid strumming. He appears on many posters in the Dutch and Flemish folk circuit as a supporting musician and, above all, as a driving bouzouki player with Hot Griselda. You could safely say he is an unknown big name. He has played and recorded with artists such as Niamh Parsons, Mapi Quintana, Sophie Janna, Carel Kraayenhof, and Johannes Schiefner. His beautiful debut album, The Lights That Never Goes, from 2023, tells you why: A very big name, indeed.
