Contemporary Irish Folk & Traditional Music
Mulligan’s Irish Music Bar is proud to host an weekend with two compelling voices in modern Irish traditional music: Fiachra Meek and Cillian McCabe. Together, they deliver a powerful, nuanced performance that bridges the gap between deep-rooted heritage and contemporary folk innovation.
The Artists
- Fiachra Meek: A force of nature on the uilleann pipes and tin whistle, Fiachra is widely regarded as one of the most innovative pipers of his generation. A founding member of the award-winning trio Alfi, he blends traditional mastery with a unique, contemporary flair that breathes new life into ancient melodies.
- Cillian McCabe: Cillian is a guitar, banjo and bouzouki player from County Monaghan in Ireland. He has played extensively throughout Europe and North America including a residency in Disney World in Florida. He hails from a very musical family, one grandparent being the founding organiser of the famous Féile Oriel in Monaghan and another the first cousin of renowned piper and collector Séamus Ennis.
